The early days of The Zeal Room started in 2002 when Cameron and Andrew, who lived on campus at Newcastle Uni, were approached to play some gigs around the Uni. After a very positive reaction to the music, Cameron enlisted the talents of long-time school friend and drummer, Troy Brooks. Once the music and rhythm section was complete, a killer vocalist was required. Cameron met Ben while taking a photography course at uni and the picture was set. The songs flowed. Within 3 months The Zeal Room headed into the studio to create a 6-track EP which has seen airplay on Sydney’s 2SER radio (including a live performance), as well as airtime on numerous stations in the Forster/Manning Valley area. 2004 finds The Zeal Room on the gigging trail with an abundance of new songs and a line-up brimming with talent and originality. Every performance and every song creates a mood and atmosphere that can only be experienced with a visit to The Zeal Room. |
