Mindy Sotiri writes tunes. And plays them. Quite often in front of other people.
She spent her formative years listening to Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Lou Reed and fell quickly and easily in love with the sounds and words of grumpy Jewish men who had smoked too many cigarettes. Since then she has fallen in love with any number of less grumpy non-smokers, but she continues to be inspired by the way it is possible to tangle words around guitar strings and make something very beautiful.Mindy plays regularly around Sydney, and has recorded two albums over the last few years. Accidental Invitation (February 2003) and Drink It (September 2004) both through MGM.
