Yaniv has been into the music thing since he was a little kid. Forming Project24 after school, a collective of misfits and sometimes talented people, he put out a number of records and did a number of Australian tours before moving to London. Relocating to London he started featuring on records by Drum and Bass godfathers Lemon D and Dillenger of Valve Recordings. He also appeared on production libraries used by the BBC and across Europe. Reforming Project24 in 2001 he embarked on an assault of London with the new international line-up and played all the main venues in town including the Dublin Castle (first stage Travis played on) and the Hope and Anchor (first stage U2 played in London). He went on to put together ‘Hidden Agenda’, a one-off Jazz ensemble that opened at the Jazz Café on Sept 24th 2001, rated as one of the finest venues in Europe. Bringing the band home to native Sydney in 2002, Project24 enjoyed a wide variety of Aussie press including the front entertainment page of the Canberra Times, The Australian, lots of street press and radio interviews, as well as a summer-long rotation on Triple J and Triple R in Melbourne. The band has recently toured Melbourne and Sydney, and played with Aussie chart topper Diana Ah Naid in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Since then Yaniv has been working on his next solo release. |
