In 2001 Jason and his band Griffin were one of only three Australian bands invited to perform showcase gigs at the NEMO Music Conference in Boston, USA, The Waifs being one of the others. Griffin will be one of the featured acts at IndyFest in Canberra in April 2003.
Based in Canberra, Griffin’s first single ‘This World’ obtained high rotation airplay on the premier local radio station FM 104.7, stamping them as one of the region’s highest profile acts. This World was also ranked #1 song on the Canberra compilation CD ‘Caught In The ACT’ (CITA) 2002. The CITA CD is released annually in Australia and overseas in the USA, and features the top bands from the ACT.
Two of Griffin's songs from their EP, This World and ‘All You Leave Behind’, have been selected to appear on the soundtrack of a short film entered into TropFest 2003 and the video clip of This World is currently airing on ABC TV’s Rage and Russ Kellett’s Channel 31 Show in Melbourne.
Other tracks from the EP have been getting airplay on 2SER FM in Sydney, 979 FM in Melbourne and ABC Radio in Canberra.
