Living on the coastal, semi-desert edge of the Nullarbor Plain until she was nineteen years old has given Jodi a distinctive way of writing about the world. At 17, Jodi's song 'Why' was recorded by Kasey Chambers and the Dead Ringer Band, and at 21 Jodi toured nationally with Arlo Guthrie. Having worked in numerous bands since she was 17, her long-awaited solo debut album 'Water and Wood' is finally here, and receiving enthusiastic reviews all around the country. Jodi draws on many different elements of roots music to make her own, including folk, country, reggae and blues. |
