Like many before him, John and his friends are on a constant quest to find the meaning of life and relate it in fragments through song. Often it’s best to look for this in everyday, extraordinary stuff – people and other natural things. The songs are as simple as they can be to contain the feelings that they do. They attempt to bring you something beautiful that you haven’t heard before. John also plays in the Bernie Hayes Quartet and led the groups Smelly Tongues and Upsidasium, way back then. Peter Marley pushed the thunder broom with authority in Swordfish and Supagroop. Peter Kelly is with the Gadflys and also played with John in Shaggin' Wagon. Graham and Jess ply their percussive trade in contexts that range from orchestral to world music. Zoë is a celebrated actress and artist and in late 2003 will release her first album of original songs. |
