Jimmy Little began his recording career in 1956 at age 19. 47 years later and after gold selling records in the 1960s, ’70s, ’90s and 2001, and receiving honours including Aboriginal of the Year in 1989, induction into the Country Music Roll of Renown in 1994 and recipient of the ARIA contemporary album of the year including induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1999, Jimmy’s music career is stronger than it has ever been. He was named NSW Senior Australian of the Year 2003 and has recently signed a long term deal with the ABC for a series of recordings, a biography and a documentary. |
