Despite being a mere twenty-three years of age, Chris' songwriting ability recalls the mellow, acoustic ecstasy of Nick Drake fused with the jagged frustration of Muse, leaving a sound which some describe as disturbing yet strangely enjoyable. From the power-hungry chords of ‘Your Song’, to the metaphorically challenged ‘Adrenaline’, his darkly introverted-extroverted stab at life packs a bitter punch, but what remains is a slew of rich pop moments. Chris has recently played with Mick Hart, Kim Salmon, Simon Day and Rumanastone's Jimi Swan and is cementing his live following by gigging regularly around NSW venues, before recording his debut EP with Jamie Fonti (Primary) in March 2003. |
