Blending folk-roots-jazzy-bluesy-politi-pop-driven-fuze-prog-rock-grass-acoustica, Keppie revels in diversity. She has been influenced by the likes of Tom Waits, Stevie Wonder, Bobby McFerrin, and Marvin Gaye, but don't expect anything like that, because she's female, and sings folk music. This year alone, Keppie has played at the Gaelic Club, The East Village Hotel, The Empire of Annandale, The Excelsior Surry Hills, The Coogee Bay Hotel, and the Seymour Centre, to name but a few. On the groove train journey so far, Keppie has managed to pick up the delectibly multifarious Caddie Brain on the cello, and is picking up more strays as the train gathers steam. |
