Sar Friedman is a young up-and-coming singer/songwriter (21 yrs old). Her live debut in May last year was followed by several performances including ‘Substance’, an inaugural showcase of new musical talent. She has recently supported fellow Club Acoustica artist Lior, where she wowed them at the Hopetoun in December 2002.
“She mixed hand drums and guitars, fat and then folky sounds, dry wit, left-of-centre style and must-hear-again lyrics to bewitch us. Not your typical chick-rocker, her songs tend to tell stories. She has a magnetic stage presence and a coolness that puts you at ease. Her voice is petal-like, then angsty, but always somehow distant and beautiful.” Rachael Slattery, Club Acoustica
“I love music that makes me feel… songs that take you places… and that’s what I hope people will get from my music.”
Sar is currently working on her debut EP, for release later this year.
