After years of refining his writing, and learning what audiences enjoy by playing in pubs and clubs all over Australia, Daniel is now ready to present his original material to the public with the release of a four-track EP, ‘At Least It’s Paid For’. Daniel’s songs demonstrate the pure art of songwriting; from classic sing-a-long pop tunes to moodier material. Songs such as ‘Breath Of Heaven’ and ‘Hardest Thing’ are lilting melodies with a touch of romance, that are like little gifts that demand unwrapping and rediscovering over and over again. Breath of Heaven was chosen for an advertising campaign in 2002 promoting the beautiful Whitsundays in North Queensland. Daniel shines most in the pop arena. His song ‘Love Makes The World Go Round’ finds the right balance between fun cheesiness, and timelessness. Live, Daniel spices it up and the dynamics of his creations come into play. He writes for a band, but presents a full performance solo, which is an absolutely refreshing pleasure. Highlights for Daniel include Field Day Festival 2002, and an upcoming spot supporting Monique Brumby at Club Acoustica Brisbane. Previous support spots include James Blundell, Screaming Jets, Choir Boys, The Divinyls, Hole and George Thorogood. |
