Experience the swelling harmonies that make this new group so fresh. With songs that emanate from the souls of two experienced and trained musicians, their music will leave you humming all day long. The band’s prime songwriter Gareth Hudson has a natural ability for writing distinctive melodies stemming from a lifelong interest in all kinds of music, from the Beatles to Mozart. Hudson was classically trained on the piano from the age of five and has since completed his Bachelor of Music on the instrument. Hudson features as guitarist/singer in The Times and uses his musical experience to influence his sound and phrasing. With over a decade of experience on bass guitar, Heather Barnes is an asset to the group. With much experience in all facets of music Heather has featured as the bass player of On inc., the principal double bass player of the Australian Youth Orchestra and was chosen by Krell Records as the top bass player in their national talent search. Receiving an impulsive ability for singing from her mother, opera singer Jennifer Barnes, Heather’s relaxed singing style adds to the unique sound of The Times. |
