02-10-2002 Club Acoustica
Sitting in the Iguana Bar I watched as this somewhat nervous young man made his way to the stage joined by the cream of Brisbane's music scene. Intrigued by this curious person, I sat back and listened. What I wasn't ready for was the stir inside my chest initiated by the performance delivered by Tim Carter.
For the entire set, this shy Brisbane lad had me captivated by both his songs and stage presence. Songs like 'Fear of Flying', 'Saturday' and 'Levitate' melodically and musically captured the complexity and colour of human emotion. Coupled with his distinct and moreish vocals Tim Carter is without a doubt one of the hottest acts emerging from Brisbane today and destined for success.
