12-08-2002 Club Acoustica
There was some great music showcased at La Bar last week and I was delighted to see the audience so attentive. Ross Robinson opened the night. With his Ben Foldsesque style of cruisy thought provoking songs accompanied with a fantastic wit, Ross was the perfect crowd warmer. Pixie blew us all out with her strong soulful voice that kind of weaved its way through the crowd as they started to settle in for the evening. Eva Luna always leaves a lasting impression with me and last week was no exception. They have a great sound and as I looked around the audience thought so too!! Angeline really lifted the night with their collection of upbeat tunes getting everyone moving and mingling, with My Favourite Band ending the night on a great note. Don't forget 'Sirens... Women of Acoustica' this Thursday August 15th.
