To celebrate the ‘Magic Dozen’ of showcases presented by Club Acoustica at The Basement since April 2000 a frighteningly strong bill of local talent has been assembled for this month's show. Looking back over the past eleven showcases a stunning array of artists (numbering very close to 70) have performed Club Acoustica including Jenny Morris, Louis Tillet, Stella One Eleven, The Radiators, The Ghostwriters, Skulker, Miles From Nowhere, Bernie Hayes, King Curly, The Millers Tale, Steve Balbi, Dominique Fraissard, Shanley, Women In Docs, Rachel Holmshaw, Matt Moffitt (Matt Finish), Louise Perryman, Tali Gillespie, Brett Hunt and Welter.
Over the past year we have been blessed with some truly spine tingling performances, a myriad of satisfied attendees and, most importantly, created a welcome forum for the acoustic presentation of original music in two of Sydney’s premier music venues. Having presented over 400 acts since August 1998, maintaining a strong media presence, a well visited and constantly updated web site and with a large member base receiving weekly updates on Club Acoustica shows we look forward to continuing to help promote and foster the Sydney Acoustic Movement for many years to come...
