Club Acoustica is excited to announce that we will be presenting a 7-hour showcase at this year’s East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival, in beautiful Byron Bay. We have assembled an extraordinary line-up of artists from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Byron Bay to perform between 1pm and 7:30pm on Sunday 20th April on the Juke Joint Stage. At the showcase you will be treated to performances by nine exceptional and diverse emerging and established artists. The hauntingly beautiful lyrics of Ida Trovato with her three-piece, Strange Coloured Days. The insightful ‘groove rock’ of Club Acoustica founder Michael Hardwick. The highest level of guitarmanship from internationally published guitar tutor and music author Ian Miller who has played with the likes of Joe Walsh (The Eagles), Frank Gambale (Chick Corea), ‘Skunk’ Baxter (Steely Dan & The Doobie Brothers), Verdine White (Earth, Wind & Fire) and JPY. The exceptional Tim Carter who is currently receiving strong radio airplay for ‘Saturday’ and is blessed with a voice that is making many take notice. Claire Wyndham, the melodically gifted songstress with a big future who is rapidly making a name for herself. The extraordinary Glenn Cardier who played Sunbury ’72 and ’73, gigged with Frank Zappa and toured with the La De Das, Fairport Convention, Spike Milligan, Daddy Cool, Sherbet and Country Radio, and who will be playing songs from his critically acclaimed new album ‘Rattle The Cage’. Double ARIA award winner (Best New Artist 1996, Best Female Artist 1997) and nominee for Song of the Year at the 1998 ARIAs for ‘The Change In Me’ and with a stunning critically acclaimed new album ‘Signal Hill’, Monique Brumby will undoubtedly shine on stage. One of the brightest new singer-songwriters in the land with supports for Taj Mahal, Bela Fleck, Roger McGuinn, Ian Moss and Dave Gleeson to his credit, and national radio airplay for the single ‘Life's What You Make It’, Brett Hunt will bring his extraordinary voice and blend of folk, roots, blues and pop to the stage for a memorable spot. With their debut EP ‘Finally’ in the public domain ANGeLiNE are riding a wave of expectation and widespread support for their edgy, irresistible pop and awesome stage presence and will provide a fitting end to this all-Australian, stripped back original music showcase of voice, song and music.
